The Lamentation of Andromedus

Andromeda, she the sacrifice to appease the wrath of the gods earned through the hubris of her kin. She was made a scapegoat for the sins of her countrymen, chained to a rock in the ocean to pay in blood a dept which she, herself had not incurred. Allegorically, Amdromedus stands shackled to the pillar of a heritage forced upon him in the wake of the cathedrals that stand as monuments to a past that taints his blood.

From this same blood is expected the dept to be paid to atone for the hubris of his “Holier than thou” ancestral kin.
